Concession Card Campaign

DUSA believes that all students should have equal rights and opportunities, regardless of where they're from, or what they study. It is fact that if you are an international student, a postgraduate student, or a student studying part time or off-campus you just cannot get a concession card. DUSA will campaign for equality in 2009. Concession cards in Victoria are just not fair!

Centrelink refuses to help full-time students get a job (whether they are undergrad or postgrad), so why are post-grad students somehow expected to be richer?
#2 Logitha Sylvester (Balwyn North, Australia)
I totally agree with this..!!
#3 monhnala rattanavong (burwood, Australia)
#4 Nanna Sultani (Hawthorn East, Australia)
I dont get why it has to be different for students.. Why can we all just fall under the same category.. We are students, where we study or what shouldn't determine what we can get .
#5 Stephanie Edkins (Cranbourne, Australia)
#6 Nisi Munasinghe (Burwood, Australia)
#7 Kellie Turvey (Box Hill South, Australia)
#8 Kline Nazareth (Hawthorn, Australia)
#9 LiangDa Sun (Carrum, Australia)
Concession cards should be available for ALL students.
#10 Kim Ogden (Wynyard, Australia)
Concession cards should be available for ALL students regardless of their campus location or whether they study part-time or full-time.
#11 Ong Jewell (Burwood, Australia)
what's with the differences, honestly. we, all as students should just as well have our rights to concession. plus being international students, our school fees are basically more expensive. can't we even have this right to have a fare share in getting a concession for public transport?!
#12 Nina Springle (Box Hill Sth, Australia)
#13 NATASHA LEE (BURWOOD, Australia)
i spend about 130 odd bucks on transport a month! international students pay a hell lot more school fees, and we still have to pay so much more for transport. what's the reason behind this besides the fact that they can earn more money? we are still students, we are not working, and we have to pay so much more!! i've gotten fined before and it's because i ran out of 2hour X 10 and i crossed into another zone. the fine was 162 bucks! and i got fined another time for having the tip of my foot brush the opposite seat! at least gimme the Damn concession card!!!!! besides, it's not like the trains/buses/trams run on time. i don't really get wat i'm paying for...
#14 Tan Wanting (North Geelong, Australia)
I strongly agree. The money spent on transport is too much for students, especially for international students.
#15 Kartik Mishra (Geelong West, Australia)
AGREED. 90 bucks a month on transport isnt funny.
#16 Julia Lingertat (burwood, Australia)
International students pay even more tuition fee - so why do we have to pay even more for public transport?? It's not like we have more money than local students! US should be given the concession!
#17 Ulrike Pongratz (burwood, Australia)
#18 Breanna (, Australia)
I totally agree!
#19 Mathew Pierce (werribee, Australia)
CHEAP TRANSPORT FOR ALL!!!!
#20 Calida Howarth (Blackburn, Australia)
Why should there be a discrepancy in which students get a concession card? If you are a student, you should be allowed one. Simple as that.
#21 Cayla Edwards (Burwood, Australia)
Who gets to decide that one group of studnets gets support and another doesn't. The current concession card system is unfair and unequitable.
#22 Emily Durham (Camberwell, Australia)
Study load shouldnt matter, I know people who study part time because they cant afford to study full time, they shouldnt be further disadvantaged for that.
#23 Ben Adelberg (Dandenong, Australia)
In addition to receiving NO SUPPORT from Centrelink, Postgraduate students can't even get a transport concession card. How is this encouraging people to better themselves and become qualified professionals and contribute to society? No wonder so many people just stay on the dole.
#24 Melody Francis (Sunbury, Australia)
#25 Hazman Abu Bakar (Geelong West, Australia)
Concession are supposed to be for all student, regardless if they are postgrad or international student. We are not here making money and definitely not wealthy.
#26 Stevanus Juniardi (Clayton, Australia)
#27 Ashley Liang (Doncaster East, Australia)
Totally agree! For international student like me, i study full time, have 20 hours/week working limit, pay about $20,000 a year tuition fee, still couldn't enjoy any benefits in this country..!!
#28 Ranjith K (Burwood, Australia)
No student should be denied a concession for any reason whatsoever. Every internationa student says, "we pay a lot" and I'm no different. Yes we are paying a pay lot for the cancelled services. Give us a STIMULUS PACKAGE (travel concession) as well during this FINANCIAL CRISIS. Is Connex listening?? I don't think the transport authorities are gonna respond to this campaign. Anyway, lets hope something positive comes out of this.
#29 Kelly Riley (Geelong, Australia)
#30 Preetam Chakrabarty (Hawthorn, Australia)
Completely agree!!! Denying concession cards to International students is completely unfair... Our fees are more and to top it all, transport expense without concession card is a rip off....
#31 Ahmad Didi (Carlton, Australia)
There should be no discrimination. All students are entitled to concession cards
#32 Caroline Torres (Burnside Heights, Australia)
#33 Lauren Andrew (Rosanna, Australia)
#34 Jess Dammous (East Keilor, Australia)
#35 cecilia maldonado wisen (Glen Iris, Australia)
#36 Sophia Aloni (Hawthorn, Australia)
agreed!
#37 Rob Hamilton (Docklands, Australia)
I just don't understand why off-campus students can't get concession cards.
#38 Cathy Cheung (Burwood, Australia)
#39 Tingting Song (Burwood, Australia)
There should be no descrimination!
#40 Matthew Gregg (Burwood, Australia)
#41 Jey Thevaraj (Keysborough, Australia)
ALL students should be given access to concession cards. I can't understand why the authorities deny access to particular group of students. Why not treat every one fairly?
#42 Dinithi Pallegedara (Burwood East, Australia)
All students should be able to use concession cards.
#43 Rakesh Mithun (Clayton, Australia)
ACT (Canberra) and WA (Perth) recognise International students as eligible for concession like the local students so why not Victoria?
#44 Kirrily Hayward (HIGHTON, Australia)
#45 Laura Williams (Geelong, Australia)
#46 Siu Yi Wong (Burwood , Australia)
I totally agree with that international should have equal opportunity with local student. In fact, our university life's costs are double than local students, then how can we affordable to pay such expensive transportation fees !!!
#47 Chamil Peiris (burwood, Australia)
I totally agree with this campaign. All students should get concessions. International students pay higher fees and we can work only 20 hours a week!! If other states can offer all students concessions, why cant Victoria???
#48 Rajat Malhotra (Burwood, Australia)
#49 Caryn Ooi (Burwood, Australia)
#50 Hollie Acres (Strathfield, Australia)
I find it very unfair thaat i plan to work full time and study full time yet am unable to get a concession because i study via distance education. I pay taxes to help pay youth allowance to other students by working full time, maybe the government can help me out a little... no :(
#51 arjun kattepur (chadstone, Australia)
#52 Pawan Lalwani (Hawthorn, Australia)
Go DUSA go...
#53 Krunal Patel (Hawthorn, Australia)

#60 MONIKA DUTTA (noble park, Australia)
I strongly agree !!!!!
#61 Wei Zhang (Geelong, Australia)
Its unfire. We should change the situation
#62 Courtney Jeffkins (Hoppers Crossing, Australia)
The way Public Transport Concession is run is nothing short of pathetic! Students should not be discriminated against because they are not all studying the same thing. I, myself, was discriminated against because I was not in secondary school like most my age. I should not be punished for having just turned 17 and being enrolled in tertiary study. I cannot buy tickets (eg: yearly) that others my age are entitled to because I am a tertiary student. My troubles are nothing compared to international and post-grad students, they are already paying more than most and are expected to fork out almost double for public transport also. A concession card for all students should be implemented to ensure no student is discriminated against.
#63 Annelin Reiestad (north carlton, Australia)
#64 Mary Ma (Burwood, Australia)
Strongly agreed. International students should be treated as equal as local tertiary students
#65 Vimala S (MT WAverley, Australia)
ITs discrimination!
#66 Skanthan Arjuna (mulgrave, Australia)
#67 Jasmine Cresp (Essendon, Australia)
#68 Louise Bellizzi (Hamlyn Heights, Australia)
It's unfair to any student who can't get a concession fair. No matter if you are off campus, international or part-time, we are NOT made of money. It's discrimination!
#69 hiren patel (surrey hills, Australia)
#70 CHALERMRUT MAYSACHAIYA (hawthorn, Australia)
Concession should be availabel for all students.
#71 Ashlyn Butcher (Burwood, Australia)
#72 Charlene Ting (Melbourne, Australia)
couldn't agree better!! concession cards for all students!!
#73 Yaser Shah (Box Hill South, Australia)
I was surprised to find that we couldn't get student concession on public transport. Hope this changes.
#74 Jarryd Bartle (Newtown, Australia)
Student concession should be for ALL students, I don't think the logic could be any simpler.
#75 Sophie Ito (Ferntree Gully, Australia)
#76 Timothy Crocker (Vermont, Australia)
#77 Alice Woolven (Berwick, Australia)
Full-time off campus students (whether under grad or post grad) do not qualify for concession cards either. When you check with Connex, the mode of study isn't even stipulated in the conditions - it's just ridiculous!
#78 Kim Dunphy (Hampton, Australia)
#79 Jessica Yu (Doncaster East, Australia)
FINALLY! something is getting done about this! The price of public transport is increasing every year but there is no improvement in the service so why do we have to pay more?
#80 Joel kwon (elgaroad montn albert north, Australia)
We paying exactly twice amount of money!!!! It is not fair damn. Governmnet should think this issue one more. !!!
#81 Breigh Smith (CROYDON HILLS, Australia)
#82 Stephanie Sibarani (Camberwell, Australia)
Totally agree with this. We also pay for uni tuition fees as the other students who get concession.
#83 Polina Motina (Kew, Australia)
Strongly agree!
#84 Mats Markussen (Burwood, Australia)
#85 Maddy Morrison (Williamstown, Australia)
#86 katie chang (Burwood East, Australia)
pefectly support. International students have already contributed extremly high tuitions to goverment, boost educational industries and economic developement in OZ, why cant enjoy the public equally right as local students?
#87 Kate Cumming (Hamilton, Australia)
give us concession dammit!
#88 Ashmath Azoor (Howthorn, Australia)
Stop discriminating against Internatioanl students.... we are yet students too..
#89 Nicole Monti (Torquay, Australia)
#90 Rhys Tate (Chadstone, Australia)
This should be a no-brainer. Students are sacrificing immediate income for more income (and taxes) down the road. We struggle to afford the basics and every dollar helps.
#91 Hung On Kee (Doncaster, Australia)
#92 Khaled Chakli (coburg East, Australia)
Good on you DUSA for doing something about this!
#93 Lachy Rees (Camberwell, Australia)
Deakin's definition of Full-time/part-time focuses on enrollment in each teaching period (trimester), rather than a 12-month period - as used at other tertiary institutions and even by government agencies, banks and other organisations. After encouraging students to spread their study load over 3 trimesters, they then turn around and force us to pay more to get to class.
#94 Holly Sylvester (Warrnambool, Australia)
While I am an international student, I am also a full-fee paying student and I think that it is only fair that we be allowed to apply for and use a concession card as well!
#95 Marita Vik (Burwood, Australia)
I think it is really unfair that me as an International student who put alot of money into the Autralian schoolsystem can`t get a concession card, while my friends who are exchange students and don`t pay as much money to Australian Gouverment do get it!
#96 Traci Lloyd (Warrnambool, Australia)
The warrnambool campus is out in the middle of nowhere. Not only do we have to pay extra to take a bus to the grocery store, doctor, chemist (pretty much everywhere) but because many of our classes are composed of students from all three campuses we have to get ourselves to melbourne a couple times each semester. The train ticket to Melbourne is $50 every time. That money really adds up!
#97 Justin Chalk (Parkdale, Australia)
Agreed. Once again by being smart the powers to be outsmart themselves and make life difficult. I for one would use these services more if concession applied.
#98 Tim Miller (Warrnambool, Australia)
#99 Grant Sebire (Burwood East, Australia)
#100 Nicholas White (Balwyn North, Australia)
#101 Yaqin Li (box hill, Australia)
i strongly agree with this!! why we cant get a concession card, thats unfair!!
#102 Amanda Costa (Norlane, Australia)
Let's hope this petition works. Of course students need concession travel, Without support, including financial, students struggle to commit as much as they need to with their studies. Let's help provide better professionals!
#103 Stephen Gray (Mitcham, Australia)
Students are the future, whether or not they've graduated already, or are international/off campus. Disgusting.
#104 Janelle Kaloudis (Aspendale, Australia)
Just because I am post-graduate doesn't mean I am RICH!!
#105 Keshani Ranatunge (Glen Waverley, Australia)
All international students should have concession cards for transport.

#114 Mr. D (Burwood, Australia)
Go Go DUSA, we're counting on you.
#115 Harry Ha (Burwood, Australia)
It is discrimination!!! We pay HIGH fee, but we dont get support???
#116 Dusan Petrovic (Box Hill South, Australia)
International students invested a huge amount of money to their study=uni=education system in Vic and all what they get back are again higher fees. "Fair enough"
#117 Neil Roy (Murrumbeena, Australia)
This is totally unacceptable..with tutition fees being so expensive we as students should not be further disadvantaged.
#118 Tshering Doma (Doncaster, Australia)
#119 Doan hai van LE (Kew, Australia)
we are all students...
#120 zhu wei (burwood east, Australia)
totally unfair to divide students,"postgraduate" still means a student
#121 Austin Tseng (Doncaster East, Australia)
#122 Anh Phuong Nguyen (Collingwood, Australia)
this need to be solved asap. what a unfair
#123 Naravadee[Bes] Mahatraipop (malvern east, Australia)
#124 Toni Huynh (Reservoir, Australia)
International student must be eligible for concession card.
#125 Jodi Stewart (Warrnambool, Australia)
I am an international student, and we pay more for tuition (even though it goes straight to Deakin), on campus housing, and burn through so much more phone and internet credit keeping in contact with home. It'd be nice to get a break when we have no other means of transportation.
#126 nishit goradia (murrumbeena, Australia)
#127 Marianne Ingvaldsen (burwood, Australia)
#128 Trang Vo (Abbotsford, Australia)
The price just goes up year after year. It's not fair for all students like us. Go ! Go!
#129 Wesley Tang (Bayswater, Australia)
I think it's unfair for the international students... Why the local students can get concessions but the internationals can't?? It's kind of racism (I think) & we should be treated fairly, no matter what nationality we are!
#130 Jeremy Hofsteede (St Kilda, Australia)
#131 Nina Buchan (Greensborough, Australia)
Students studying at a postgrad level deserve the same concession as undergrad level! Public transport is overpriced as it is for the service. All students incl. part time and off campus should be eligible. It is also an incentive for less driving!
#132 Zang Kieu (Bundoora, Australia)
We are online student now, why ripping us off while the tuition fee for international students are already sooo damn high???
#133 Han Le (Burwood, Australia)
#134 Imesh Goonetilleke (burwood east, Australia)
#135 Hai Hien Nguyen (forest hill, Australia)
i agree it completely
#136 sidharth jose (seddon, Australia)
Thanks DUSA for the initiative, Its time the government listens to that difficulties that we as students face!
#137 Joan Ducza (Rowville, Australia)
Students should be able to obtain a concession card regardless of the mode of studies.
#138 Sonam Gurung (carnegie, Australia)
what are we doing about it then??
#139 Kian Lip Yap (Bayswater, Australia)
Every student should be treated equally no matter they are locals or international students
#140 Carly Scott (Burwood, Australia)
#141 Julie Allica (Noble Park, Australia)
#142 Duc Nguyen (Burwood , Australia)
it is really not fair.
#143 kapil kapoor (glen iris, Australia)
This is extremely unfair. Why they are still inviting applications for international students if they cannot provide us basic amenities. These guys always talk, are ready to discuss crap issues which doesn't affect as a whole to australian community but are always ready to waste their wealth & resource in binging beers. On the back hand, they swing knives at us by providing cheapest & crap services. even after paying & giving them awesome gratitude & hospitality than they wld have ever expected from their own countrymen, they still are nothing but useless system
#144 Ayush Ayush (Clayton, Australia)
I agree....
#145 Melissa Coleman (Altona, Australia)
#146 Anwarul Hakim Ahmad (Geelong, Australia)
Aren't we also supposed to get concession since we are International student?

#154 Kyra Low (Flemington, Australia)
I strongly agree. Postgrad students are expected to adhere to max of 6 hours of work per week, and don't receive support from Centrelink, where is the money supposed to come from to pay full fare?

#162 anna barvinsky (south yarra, Australia)
students working part time still find it hard to make ends meet - we all need some help!!
#163 linglan jiang (Burwood East, Australia)
#164 Arun D (Doncaster, Australia)
It is unfair that you discriminate against people that are contributors to your country. Why make life more expensive for an international student than it already is. Be fair, lower your fare!
#165 Nina Josephina (hawthorn, Australia)
#166 ZIPEI ZHANG (burwood, Australia)
totally agree that international students could buy concession card

everyone who regularly use of public transport shoould be able to buy a concession ticket with a concession card
#171 Sinead Lau (Notting Hill, Australia)

#172 YAN SHAN SIM (BURWOOD, Australia)
#173 annie chan (mt waverley, Australia)
My Bf pays 10,000 p. month for uni fees. he shuld at least get concession on his ticket!

definitely concession fare for international students!
#180 Nico Soelistio (Burwood, Australia)
#181 Alefiya Ameerali (Burwood, Australia)

#182 Dinuk Gunaratne (Burwood, Australia)
#183 Jakob Blomqvist (box hill south, Australia)
Cut down these crazy tram prices!

#192 Elaine HON (Melbourne, Australia)
not fair! not fair! not fair!
#193 Emma Manser (Narre Warren South, Australia)
#194 Monica Steeds (Claremont Meadows, Australia)
I am constantly astounded at the inept balance of equity all governments display towards their communities. I work full time and study 2 degrees via distance at different uni's both part time yet cannot get any assistance or recognition of my commitment to advance my skills which constatnly supports Australia's economic growth and skills balance. Government's display equity subject to what will make them look good at the time rather than through true action of what equity stands for...equal cosideration and action to all. Good on DUSA for taking up the challenge to fight...lets hope the government will see reason.
#195 Jai Mountney (Punchbowl, Australia)
#196 Hadi Partovifar (Burwood, Australia)
I think the price of the Melbourne transportation for me is expensive.I think mounthly ticket zone 1+2 full fare about $AU 80 IS GOOD.

#214 Kellie Blake (Sebastopol, Australia)
Regardless of whether we are full time, part time on or off campus, we are all still students and should therefore be recognised as same
#215 Bryer Drago (Balwyn, Australia)
The govt pours billions into roads and nobody pays to use them... I'm sorry, can someone tell me why we have to pay to save the earth??? Use our tax money to pave the way with gold for petrol-thirsty citizens and make us pay to catch the filthy train... good one guys!!
#216 nahong he (surrey hills, Australia)
strong agree with this, all the student should have equal rights!!!
#217 Peter Nguyen (Glen Waverley, Melbourne, Australia)

#218 Pujan Shah (sunshine, Australia)
#219 Jason Kennedy (Waterloo, Australia)
It shouldn't matter if you are part-time, full-time, on-campus, or off-campus, all students should be eligible.
#220 Luke James (-, Thailand)
I agree that students should receive concession cards unless working full time.
#221 Jennifer Boyce (Seddon, Australia)
#222 Muhammad Abid (Oakleigh East, Australia)
It's our right, give it to us!

#225 Nghia Phan (Glen Iris, Australia)
I agree, all students (international or local) should have concession card
#226 Tuan Anh Nguyen (richmond, Australia)
#227 Kathy Phan (Keysborough, Australia)
every year, oveasea students contribute a lot of money for governemnt, but why don't the goverment allow us to use concession card like local student. IT'S NOT FAIR.
#228 Mia Le (Melbourne, Australia)
I strongly agree to this campaign!!!
#229 Hong Luu (Springvale, Australia)
#230 Winnie Vo (Springvale, Australia)
I think that just only International who study in Victoria don't have a permission to have a concession card. the others States like New South Wales (Sydney), the Govt allow International Students use a concession card. How unfair for Vic's International Student!!!!!!
#231 tim augustinus (footscray, Australia)
I believe that not giving a concession to all students merely promotes an unlevel playing field. The only true winners are the companies that run PT for the gov't through the increased revenue. The government must keep in mind that these companies don't vote...but the fast growning number of local part time and postgrad students do!
#232 Katyana Azman (South Yarra, Australia)
#233 tara purcell (montmorency, Australia)
#234 Amandine Hamilton-Smith (Burwood, Australia)
i completly agree this is rediculous! its already very hard for uni students to get by withoutt the added disadvantaghe of not being able to get a concession card!
#235 Fleur Blaize (endeavour hills, Australia)
#236 Zaid Abdul Karim (ENDEAVOUR HILLS , Australia)
#237 hoang nghia pham (noble park north , Australia)
i all agree..
#238 MIN CHEN (BURWOOD, Australia)
#239 Lam Chak Lai (Burwood, Australia)
Concession card should be available for all students, every students should be treated equally
#240 Sitarama raju Kada (Highton, Geelong, Australia)
It is true. But what steps one can take to materialize it. Its really unfair - not considering an international student elligible for concession.
#241 Edwina Fernandes (Burwood, Melbourne, Australia)
#242 Bastiyan Rodrigo (Berwick, Australia)
$167 fine if an international sudent use a concession card ??? we are students !! not here on working visa !!
#243 MOHD ZAIR RIZVI (BURWOOD, Australia)
International students are the third source of income for australian governement! what else they want??? ......now students are quitting to come down here as well .... still the govern.. bureaucrats eyes r not opened!
#244 Silas Zhang (Box Hill South, Australia)
#245 Linh Phan (burwood east, Australia)
International students always have disadvantage in competing for a job with local students. So why do we still have to pay more?
#246 Tammy Davis (Ringwood, Australia)
I think the MAJOR issue is that those who work more and study less are LESS financially equipped to pay full fare charges. Part timers are often so because they have other commitments in life, which usually involves added expenses.
#247 Lopez Claudya (Craigieburn, Australia)
#248 Martin Mumo (Burwood, Australia)
International and local students should be allowed to buy concession tickets. We international students study full time and pay 10,000 per semester. We only get to work 20hrs a week. Where is the money supposed to come from??? Man give us a break!!
#249 Prabhavi Ranasinghe (Glen Waverley, Australia)
All the international students should have consession for public transport. If other states can give consession why can't Victoria make it work?
#250 Britt Kennedy (Belmont, Australia)
#251 Eliza Kirby (Elsternwick, Australia)
#252 Jacki McClymont (Highett, Australia)
Student cards should count as concession cards.
#253 Abid Hossain (Burwood East, Australia)
we are paying higher tuition fees than locals than why no incentives, something should be done....
#254 Jessica Tanner (Fitzroy, Australia)
#255 Nadirah Hassan (Melbourne, Australia)

I agree that all students must get the concession cards as being a full time student i can't get a job still i have to pay $10.10 everyday just to reach in deakin university. So, it costs a lot just to get here.

AN INTERNATIONAL STUDENT DOSE NOT GET ANY BENEFIT FOR FEES AND NOT EVEN FOR TRANSPORTATION WERE AS THEY SUPPOSE TO BE ALIGIABLE FOR STUDENTS DISCOUNT
#260 Danielle Quaranta (Geelong, Australia)
As a full time deakin nursing student I have found several places that have been tight and refused me student discount as I am not under 12 yrs old. This age limit is rediculas. I believe that all students nomatter their study load, should recieve a discount when offered!

Concession cards should be available for ALL students.
#263 Hugh Nguyen (Doncaster, Australia)
I agree.
#264 Reet Shergill (Burwood, Australia)
I am happy such a campaign is raised. It is very important that international students be given equal platform. There should be bias on any basis. Thats what makes a palce for other nationals to stand freely..
#265 ravi yadav (burwood, Australia)
i agree with this....there should be no priorities given to local students....local students and international students have equal rights.
#266 Sharon Green (Dingley Village, Australia)
Agreed, I'm a post-grad student studying part-time because I can't afford to study full time and I don't qualify for a concession card. I work to pay my fees and don't like th idea of full fare transport tickets on top of my current expenses. It's actually more affordable for me to drive. There is no incentive for me to use public transport, espcially when the cost is involved.
#267 Thieu Khang Nguyen (Footscray, Australia)
It should be an inherent right for students in Victoria to buy Concession Card, while students in other states in Australlia have already had this right! State government must seriously consider this issue!
#268 Sam Wearne (Warrnambool, Australia)
yep. i now drive 3.5hrs to melbourne every time, rather than taking the train as its cheaper. it's rubbish. shouldn't be that way.
#269 SheueMEI Tong (Burwood East, Australia)
I know we don't pay tax but we pay higher tuition fee. We hope we can get concession card as other Australian students

As a Study Abroad student, I don't understand why the school isn't able to to give us concession cards. I've asked many times to many people what the difference is between exchange and study abroad students, but they can never justify it! I'm beginning to get really frustrated because public transport get expensive, especially when it's your main mode of transport. Concession cards should be available to all!
#272 Oriele Diaz Alcazar (Glen Waverley, Australia)
Local students as well as international students spend high amount of money buying books and many other things for uni. Thus, it is not fare that international students has to pay twice on transport. I hope those who are in charge of the fares can analyse the situation of many international students that apart from transport fares we also have to pay rent, bills, food and many other things which have not consession either. I ask for your comprehension and take in account all these issues.

we are all student, local or not!!!!!!
#274 Jianing Fan (burwood, Australia)
we should have the same right
#275 Elizabeth Tailby (Mansfield, Australia)
In Queensland we automatically get a concession with a student card
#276 Jessica Darby (Malvern, Australia)
Like full time studies, other study modes disprupt a student's ability to earn a full time wage. Considering postgrad students are expanding their skills to be able to contribute in a meaningful way to the workforce in the future, a little financial slack doesn't seem an unreasonable request. Not only do postgrad students have to pay full fees, they are also expected to earn enough money to pay full fares!
#277 xiaoyun wang (VERMONT SOUTH, CHINA)
Why international students are treated unfairly? We have paid more than others, so can you do me a favor to save a little.
#278 Christine Hallam (Blackburn, Australia)
